Carlos E. Rodríguez-Díaz, PhD, MPHE, MCHES

Dr. Rodriguez-Diaz is a community health educator by training and a sociobehavioral scientist with experiences in health promotion, health policy, human rights, and health diplomacy. He has been working in the LGBT health field in Puerto Rico, United States of America, and the Caribbean for over 15 years and has collaborated in advocacy and research initiatives with governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Most of his work in the LGBT health field has been dedicated to develop sociobehavioral interventions and research to address the needs of populations otherwise made socially vulnerable including people with HIV, transgender men and women, gays, bisexual and other men who have sex with other men. Currently, Dr. Rodriguez-Diaz is Associate Professor at the School of Public Health of the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus where he is affiliated to the Doctoral Program in Public Health with Specialty in Social Determinants of Health and the Center for Sociomedical Research and Evaluation.
